Not long before I embarked on creating the artworks for this exhibition, I had returned from a life changing trip to India. The theme of opposites (similar to Solar and Luna) perhaps, or the ritualistic ‘stepping on fire’ depicted in the painting, relate to India’s contrasts and ancient esoteric traditions.

The long winding river and path remind me of the long train rides i took through Northern India. Looking outside the window,  I saw a vast world of energies and had peaks into realities impossible to comprehend..

Whatever it is, WINGS is mystical and poetic and green with possibility.
