The mermaid has just asked to be given legs so she can explore the Earth with her fisherman…
The changes to her tail will be irreversible.
They tell her she will not be forgotten and not to worry as there is no separation between the Earth and Sea.
She is soon to discover what this truly means.
This painting shows the Seas and the Oceans bidding farewell to her.
Reflections is a painting from my 2018 solo show. All the works from the exhibition were based on a love story I created whilst painting in Brazil during my travels in 2014- 2015.
