Weavings 1 is a multi-coloured network of diamond particles! It belongs to a small series of abstract paintings done initially on paper then mounted onto small canvases.

They remind me of tapestries. The usual people and objects are absent, allowing patterns and shapes of colour to take over .

The patterns on the paper continue onto the sides of the canvases connecting them into one object. Though made to hang on a wall, they can easily stand upright on a flat surface.

These small paintings work well hung in pairs or together in a group, allowing for new combinations when you feel inspired to change their arrangement.
