In this exhibition I experimented with developing a narrative by alternating between creating a painting and then a sculpture.

I developed it as a technique to develop a narrative between sequential artworks. It also gave me ways to better understand an object in a painting, when I made a sculpture of it and visa versa.

Without fail, this always gave me a clear sense of what artwork would come next, as well as uncovering more meanings behind the works.

These sculptures were my way of seeing up close three trees that stood at the entrance to a forest which featured in a painting I had just finished titled Starlight Reunion.

In doing them, i discovered that this forest had nonthreatening gatekeepers. With this work my sculpture technique also became more intricate.
