This Lovers Mandala, the second of a series Iv embarked on in mid 2021, though tender and romantic has a dynamic motion.

 I think of the male figure as a Hermes, the messenger god who flew through time and space with his winged sandals .

I name these  artworks ‘mandalas’ because I am thinking and feeling into touch and what deep and genuine love between people may look like and I then start to draw from the middle, out towards the edges of the paper. 

The connection between male and female bodies, become part of the patterns and defy the logic of anatomy ; instead the figures are balanced with patterns and shapes
