Made in response to a painting with the same title and subject matter. The woman and the lion look more connected in this lion rider  version.This sculpture is a good example of how I combine painting, textile, collage and sculpture techniques in one artwork.

The surface of the fabric has ample painting on it, creating rich and varied textures. The wire and collaged shapes extending out from the main figures, demonstrate my desire to draw out and extend the story onto the wall in a more theatrical and frieze-like way.
