‘Hello’ brings you face to face with the mermaid, the protagonist of my Fisherman and Mermaid’s Tale: a story and body of work that so far has spanned 5 years.

She returns to the fisherman’s hut after having spent a short time exploring the nearby forests and mountains and practicing to walk without his help.

With eyes closed as she contemplates embarking on a life upon the earth’s surface. She senses,  listens and feels her way in.

This marks the beginning of her personal journey as a gifted gardener, creating an extraordinary garden around the fisherman’s hut.

The vibrant colour, exotic flowers and hummingbirds that surround her in this painting (can you spot them?), are suggestive of the magical world she creates during her time on Earth.
