Weavings 3 is all about greens and squares, oh, and a little black line! It meanders through lane ways marking out its territory and outlining bits it likes.

It belongs to a small series of abstract paintings done initially on paper then mounted onto small canvases. They remind me of tapestries. The usual people and objects are absent, allowing patterns and shapes of colour to take over .

The patterns continue on the sides of the canvases connecting them into one object. Though made to hang on a wall, they can easily stand upright on a flat surface.

These small paintings work well hung in pairs together in a group, allowing for new combinations when you feel inspired to change their arrangement.
