The TSOLIA ICON is a popular image and much loved character of modern Greece, rousing national pride; a powerful symbol of cultural identify and Greece’s war of independence.

The artwork of the stoic and elegant presidential guards in Athens, Greece is a fine art print of one of my early modern icons.

The birth of my modern icon style was influenced by stylistic elements and painting methods of Byzantine religious iconography.

I created paintings of memories of family and Greece and everyday life in Athens, a place I missed deeply once I returned to Australia in 2000 (after living in Greece for years as an art student).

PRINTS

Fine art  prints are created on 310 gsm cotton rag paper, assuring the highest quality colour and archival reproduction. All prints come signed with a printed out description of the artwork

Once payment is received, your print will be accompanied by a signed certificate of authenticity with (edition number where applicable) and description print out. Then lovingly packaged for safe shipping, within 3 business days

The Tsolia Icon is impressive in larger scale prints. The size A3,A2,A1 are approximate references only, Larger, custom sized paper is used to best fit the shape of the artwork.

FRAMING

I highly recommend framing your print with glass and a cardboard matt board

Prints come with at least 1 cm white border to ensure fitting within a frame

The dimensions I have available are standard sizes so most off-the-shelf frames will do.

Taking your modern icon print to a framer will also ensure an elegant presentation, ready for hanging on your wall.

SHIPMENT

My prints are lovingly packaged in a sealed cellophane sleeve with hard backing board.

All A2 sized prints come carefully rolled in a cardboard tube.
