“From high above i see far ahead. your hearts are full and far from dead. Come talk to me and listen well, your voice inside , your wish to tell.”
These are the words the wishing tree first speaks. He has positioned himself strategically on the boundary to more easily strike up conversations with passerbys. You see, he has decided to help those human beings who have difficulty connecting to nature ; that don’t have a relationship with trees.
He creates stories from the wishes people entrust to his branches.
After working on my Fisherman and Mermaid’s Tale in 2017-2018 ‘The Wishing Tree’ is the second story I am developing. As I make art and follow the creative process a story unfolds that is as much led by the artworks, as it is by me.
