Created with collage from my larger paintings , using gold paint, gold leaf and mixed media THE SPHINX SONG came from a happenstance moment in my studio: too much gold paint squeezed out of a tube moments before going to bed. To not let it go to waste I spontaneously smeared it with my hands, on a white canvas I had nearby. In the morning I created a balanced face in amongst the paint; a strong centered face in amongst the chaos.
