Making art has power for me because through the act of creating I have the licence to visually at least; express curiosity and form images that I can best describe as ‘wish to be seen’. In Rendezvous at theTavern1, the ancient Greek Mantineia Marble from the 4th century BC (a muse playing a Pandouris, a distant relative of the bouzouki) meets up with a modern day touberleki player.
