A small study of the painting on canvas with the same name (see Gallery). A study helps workout the composition, colour palette etc.

This one enabled me to see that I wanted to fade much of the background and leave the brush strokes visible. A beautiful example of my love of colour. It also reminds me of the freedom I felt painting a nude figure without the need for a model.

This is a classic pose using elements from the interior of my home at the time. A free style expressive painting which got the ball rolling as it was the first artwork I made for the show. I really like the composition and the loose way I painted the background.
