This is a small study of a man floating in the characteristic kaleidoscopic-space of my later Constellation Landscape works . Unlike most from this series, there are no patterns from collaged materials in this work.

I often would add, albeit subtlety, fabric or paper to the paintings to give me ideas of new shapes and patterns. With some small works such as Floating Starman I felt I had absorbed a wide range of motifs from some previous works and this permitted me instead the freedom to paint them all myself.
