Jasmine Fire is the same title I gave to a painting I did years later (see Gallery). The painting combines two symbols I feel an affinity with.

Jasmine is one of my favourite flowers. The smell is delicate and pretty and how it sprays its blossoms reminds me of a star, a motif I use alot in my work. Fire has always been a personal symbol and a fascinating image with mystical significance.

The male, female balance of opposites is also a recurring theme in my work.
